Washington State Building & Construction Trades Council - For Your Consideration:

FACT: Electing George Fearing to Congress could create more new BCTC jobs than any other race in the state of Washington.

CONSIDER:
George Fearing supports nuclear power, Building reprocessing plants and recycling spent nuclear fuel rods.

CONSIDER: George Fearing supports energy tax credits that encourage building alternative energy.

CONSIDER: George Fearing supports job-creating server farms and would work to attract other investment in the long-term economic viability of the gigantic 4th Congressional District.

CONSIDER: George Fearing supports the public investment in technical and vocational education that leads to Apprenticeship programs in the Building and Construction Trades.

CONSIDER: Most energy generated in Washington State comes from the 4th Congressional District:

• Hanford’s Nuclear Power Plant
• Grand Coulee Dam
• Smaller and numerous dams on the Columbia, Yakima, Snake, and other rivers
• Wind farms in Kittitas, Klickitat, Benton, Chelan and Douglas Counties
• Planned solar farms

CONSIDER: Yakima is becoming a manufacturing center; unions are organizing factories that create airplane parts, process food, and other industries. The construction of factories and housing is lacking Congressional investment and support.

CONSIDER: Historically, Democratic Presidents and Members of Congress built the 4th Congressional District economy through investments in infrastructure:

• Columbia Basin Reclamation (irrigation) Project
• The Manhattan Project
• Crop subsidies

CONSIDER: The last time a dynamic, change agent Democrat was running for President, a Democrat won the 4th Congressional District (Bill Clinton; Jay Inslee.)

CONSIDER: The 4th Congressional District has only had a Conservative Member of Congress because the District was offered neither a viable campaign nor candidate.

CONSIDER: George Fearing, who has raised more than $200K, can create tens of thousands of BCTC jobs.
